JOGJA THE LOVELY
Bad news came in this early morning. My lovely Jogja, the place where I used to live, is dressed in mourning because of the earthquakes. Words can’t describe how I feel sorrow thinking all my families, relatives and friends there. No word…what I know is only my want of going there…to share and to feel what they feel. Can’t imagine how sad and frightened they are. I can only pray and hope for the best. Still I can’t leave my ego…will my Jogja will be as lovely as it was previously?

MY WAY
I’m not trying to be emotional with my life recently, but I do appreciate every single thing related with my present working place. Just like today, today is my last teaching hours for my first grade students. A year is not a short time to involve with all of them, to know their characters, to try to understand their thoughts and dreams.
It’s never been easy to say good bye. In fact, I really really feel comfort to deal with everyone there. A question might be asked, “Why should I move then?”
Well, I realize that sometimes I have to break my comfort zone to make a forward movement. (Seems SPD subject in college inspired my thought a lot). That’s why I have to move, I have to change and I think…now is the right time.
One ever said
“The ship in harbour is safe, but it isn’t the ship for”
and I do agree with that.

SADHAR PBI'99
I really really proud being a part of "Sadhar PBI'99".Today, I met almost all college friends who stay in this hectic city. It's amazing to keep in touch with them and to talk about anything after some times. Nice to know that I have so many friends who still appreciate and mantain friendship and social life in their daily busy days. I feel so lucky to get involved with them. It's just like I have my family in Jogja back to me. I feel blessed to have them. I'm sure when I fall someday, they will catch me. Know what??? Suddenly, I remembered what Ms. Lanny said "saudara tidak dilihat dari hubungan darah tapi dari kebajikan".

Letter of Resignation

For over a month I’ve waited for this time. Now, as well as my desire to end, I also feel really sad to finish my job here and to leave behind the things I have already built.

As I wrote in this bloglines before, last Friday I felt very excited. One of my dreams is coming true. Now…I realize that I feel as if my excitement and my fear collide.

For over a year (1 year and 2 months for exact), I’m working in this institution. It’s been a pleasure since I found such comfort working atmosphere, lovely friendships and brotherhood with collages and students. I do appreciate all these things. I really do.

In spite of thinking those lovely things, I have my own commitment in life that are my concern in education and also my commitment in learning…to learn …to develop...to upgrade myself.

I'm not the one who can easily be satisfied. Since I have taken English Department as my majorin University, I have commitment to maintain the skills I got in college. I started to dream to live abroad someday or at least go overseas for months. As the time goes by, I know it won't be that easy. I do realize that what I want is only an opportunity to live or to work in English speaking community. I want to encourage my English speaking skills since my present job gives me little opportunity to speak much.

Finally, my dream will come true in this end of academic year. I will have my new working place where I will have expatriates to work with and students whose mother tongue are English. I will have more opportunities to use my English. However, I hope what I have decided won’t make any regret in the future.
