On college campuses beginning in the 1970s, the phrase (sometimes shortened to "TG") became associated with Friday afternoon beer parties, usually held outdoors.
And yes, last day of work before weekends always makes me excited. Looking back to the hectic days i have for a week, makes me think that Friday is a special day I need to celebrate. Friday evening after work hour will be more enjoyable to spend some times drinking coffee while sharing with a friend. So soothing.
